Set against the backdrop of the beautiful Spring Mountain Range and elevated high above the city lights, the 460 acre guard gated golf community of Painted Desert was one of the earliest desert style master planned communities built in the Las Vegas Valley. Originally developed on what was then the outskirts of town, an incredible array of wonderful amenities has since grown up around Painted Desert, making its location ideal, just off of the northern I-95 freeway and the Ann Road exit. It is also one of the most affordable golf course communities in the entire Valley.
The pristine Painted Desert golf course meanders its way through the myriad subdivisions, offering fabulous views to many of the home sites. This championship “target” par 72 golf course has 18 challenging holes for golfers of all skill levels. The course incorporates natural desert landscaping around waterscapes and lush manicured greens, and has been host to numerous tournaments including the Nevada Open.
Even homeowners that aren’t directly on the golf course can enjoy spectacular mountain views. Developers built custom homes, production homes, condos and villas in the neighborhood over a period from 1988 until 2003, and the homes reflect a variety of architectural styles and finishes from several decades. There are approximately 1600 residences within Painted Desert altogether, ranging in size from just over 1,000 square feet to more than 5,200 square feet. Separate subdivisions within Painted Desert include Paradiso, Portraits, Sevilla, Solana Del Mar, Villas on the Green and Viscaya, and some are even double gated.
In addition to the golf course, which is open to the public, there are pools, spas, workout facilities and tennis courts for the private use of the residents only. The elevation ranges from 2,326 feet to 2,410 feet above sea level.
